Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
My name is Jordan Gold, and I’m an NYC-based artist.
I hold a BFA in Musical Theatre from Montclair State University, and at 24, I’ve had the honor of performing on a Broadway national tour (The Cher Show), leading professional productions (Rent, All Shook Up), and working with Disney Theatrical Group in New York (Frozen), among other projects. While I’m wholly grateful for each experience, I hope to offer you a sense of who I am that goes a little deeper than a résumé.
At my core, I am a storyteller. A creative in the truest sense. I’ve learned that my most meaningful work often happens when I’m not “working” at all. I write songs when the world feels too beautiful or big or sad. I’m beginning my first memoir simply to experience writing it, not to put a price tag on it. I make my friends read plays with me in my living room after game nights. I devour live performance whenever I can. Most importantly, I devote my life to the deep exploration of the human experience by getting to know myself and others with curiosity, tenderness, and care.
I am a creative whether or not I am being paid to be one. I fill my life with art, experience, emotion, and childlike wonder so that when the work does come, I have something honest to offer. Not just technique, but lived feeling. Not just performance, but presence.
If you’re here, it’s probably because you also deeply value storytelling that is human, grounded, and alive. I’m glad we’ve found each other.
These days, you can find me nannying (kids are incredible teachers), growing my professional makeup artistry business, moving my body mindfully, tending to my mental and physical health, and falling in love with new people, ideas, and the world around me. I grew up in Northern California, and whenever I can, I return to visit my family and reconnect with the parts of myself that first fell in love with art and expression.
