For as long as I can remember, I have had an intrinsic and inquisitive interest in the things that connect us as humans, and I have always sought to connect with people through storytelling and performance. When I was little, I would dress up as my favorite book characters and host dramatic readings for my family and friends. My childhood birthday parties were always murder mysteries, and I insisted that everyone stay in character the entire time.
I always have believed that storytelling, particularly through live theater, has incredible power to shape our world and our future. As a storyteller , it is my mission to change and unite the world through shared empathic experience.
I am especially drawn to projects that shed light on the untold stories, struggles, and empowerment of women.
Women of all identities and backgrounds - including but not limited to women of color, queer and trans women, women with disabilities, women of different religious backgrounds, and immigrant women - deserve to be represented and celebrated in the theatre. As a queer woman and a daughter of a Jewish immigrant, I strongly believe in the need for intersectional equality and feminism in not just our world, but specifically this industry. As a performer, I seek to breathe life into roles and projects that give all women a voice in this art form.
When Iām not performing, you can find me practicing yoga, playing with my cat, writing songs and poetry, vintage and second hand shopping, and exploring New York City (my new home)!!!
